A dental specialist has dedicated additional years beyond their dental degree for advanced training. Board-certification is the highest accomplishment that can be achieved, which upholds a standard of excellence. Dr. Y and Dr. Rachel are also Diplomates in their fields. This means their credentials have been verified and are maintained annually. Additionally, Dr. Y is one of the very few dual- trained and double board-certified practicing specialists in both pediatric dentistry and orthodontics. Dr Y is both a Dentist and Orthodontist. He has been my kids' Dentist/Orthodontist for the past 16 years. I highly recommend him and his entire office. He is as kind as he is skilled. He hires people that are as wonderful as he is. It is nice that he can handle any changes in your child's teeth while they are still young. My daughter didn't have to have braces for very long because he was so proactive.
